Burgunder Sauce - Burgundy Sauce

This hearty burgundy aromatic sauce has a tender, spicy flavour. It goes particularly well with meat dishes as it has a strong taste. This recipe shows how easy it is to prepare. It can be made in no time.


  • 860 ml thick brown sauce - HP Sauce

  • 60 gr. small onions.โ€จ

  • 140 ml Pinot Noir wine

  • 15 gr. sugar

  • 140 ml of beef stock

  1. Peel the onions and scald them three times.

  2. In a pan, brown the sugar, add the lemon juice and a little stock.

  3. Stew the onions in it until they become transparent and brown.

  4. Boil it all up again and pour the wine into this mixture.

  5. Cook it on a low flame till the sauce becomes thick.
